Those of you who are only familiar with this song via the “March of the Falsettos” cast recording may be surprised to hear Trina’s (welcome) appearance here.  I’m still baffled and annoyed that we never got a cast recording reflecting the Broadway show.  

Also, why do they keep reviving musicals that aren’t Falsettos and not reviving Falsettos?

Probably my favorite Mandy Patinkin performance of a Sondheim song (at least, not from a cast recording). 

Fact: Passion holds the record for shortest run of a Tony Award winning Best Musical (280 performances after opening). Even Hallelujah, Baby! (which was closed when it won the award) had more performances with 293.  If you count previews, then Passion (which had 52 previews to Hallelujah Baby!’s 23) technically had more performances. However, shows in H,B!’s day had, like, 3 previews.  Or 1.  So that’s why I don’t count previews.  

At first I thought I would use Passion as my 90s “Countdown to Tony Town” track.  But this is the only song I would want to share, and it’s already on tumblr already.

30 Day Show Tune Challenge - Day 5 (Yesterday):  Favorite Duet… So, I cannot possibly pick a favorite duet.  ”Lily’s Eyes” is certainly one of my favorites, though, and it is probably pretty different from the songs I will post for the rest of tis… so yeah.

Stephen Bogardus and Mandy Patinkin grace us with “What Would I Do?”

This is the only musical in the cannon that I believe NEEDS a Broadway revival. It’s smart and timely with characters are rich, real and human.  I would also love to see NPH as Marvin.  Just sayin’.  Let’s ‘The Secret’ that shit.

Whoa.  Mandy Patinkin.  Singing an a capella nightmare version.  Of “No One Is Alone”.  On TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL.  Possibly driving Roma Downey (the Irish angel that Della Reese always needs to cheer up) to suicide?  There was a time in my life when I (not willingly) watched TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL every week.  This episode was not on during that time.  

Seriously, WTF?

Also, the end of this needs to go into some trance house music.
